In the Russian Federation in the Pskov region there are two small cities – Novosokolniki and Nevel, which are very dear to the Kazakhs and with which we have a long-standing friendship. Recently, residents of these cities celebrated the 80th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders.
The warriors of Kazakhstan who participated in the battles for their liberation also wrote their own page in the heroic chronicle of these cities. Many of them, including Heroes of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova and Manshuk Mametova, Khalyk Kakarmany Y. Suleimenov and T. Abdibekov, the commandant of Nevel Abylkhayr Baimuldin and our other fellow countrymen covered themselves with unfading glory. And in the mass grave of Monakovo, which is considered the largest in the region, about 2,500 Soviet soldiers are buried, of which 730, that is, about one third, are Kazakhs.
The purpose of the interview: to tell young people about the immortal exploits of the Heroes of our people, committed in the name of the life of the future generation. They must forever remain in the memory of the people, serving as a symbol of national pride, a shining example of dedication, courage and patriotism.
