As part of the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal 9 — “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, an open lecture entitled “AI in Digital Creativity: Creating Games, Videos and Websites” was held for first-year students.
The speaker of the event was Maksim Andreevich Kolesnikov, an expert and practitioner in digital solutions, an IT developer, and the author of several successful technology and web projects. Drawing on his extensive practical experience in web development, digital product creation, and artificial intelligence integration, Maksim Andreevich covered the key trends in the industry in detail. Using examples from his own completed startups and platforms (WEBMAX, ZERNE, DezMir, AI School, and the original game “ALMATY AFTER HOURS”), he demonstrated the full lifecycle of creating innovative products—from concept to process automation using cutting-edge tools.
During the lecture, students explored the modern capabilities of artificial intelligence and its applications in various areas of digital creativity. The speaker introduced the key concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning and neural networks, and explained that modern AI systems are based on data, mathematics and programming code.
Particular attention was paid to working with generative artificial intelligence and creating effective prompts. Students examined the structure of a prompt, including the task, context, example, role, format and tone.
The practical part demonstrated how AI can be used to create texts, images, sound, video, programming code and other digital materials. The lecture also covered game development, animation and video production, web development and workflow automation.
During the lecture, Maksim Andreevich presented his own game, “ALMATY AFTER HOURS,” as well as the WEBMAX, ZERNE, DezMir and AI School projects. The possibilities of workflow automation using Make and n8n were also demonstrated.
The lecture was aimed at introducing students to the practical capabilities of modern digital technologies and developing their digital competencies. Holding the event within the framework of SDG 9 contributes to learning innovative technologies and developing the skills needed to create and implement new digital solutions.
