On February 13, the lecturers of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, A.A. Kairzhanova and A. Zupar, organized a case-project defense competition within the course “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.” The event was held in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal No. 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” and aimed at promoting digital and innovative technologies, integrating modern IT solutions into the educational process, and effectively utilizing artificial intelligence capabilities.

During the competition, students presented their projects, offering relevant and original ideas along with practical solutions for real-world implementation. Participants thoroughly analyzed the goals and objectives of their projects, technical solutions, areas of application, and future development prospects. A total of 8 projects were presented. Specifically:

1. UNIVERHELPER – an assistant system for automating university services;
2. STUDENT PORTAL – a unified digital platform for students;
3. UBT KÖMEKŞI – an intelligent assistant for test preparation;
4. BILIMLAND – an online environment integrating educational resources;
5. ALT GUIDE – a digital advisor for applicants and students;
6. ALT AUDITORIAN BOT – a bot for managing academic classrooms;
7. NOVA ACADEMY – a modern online learning platform;
8. AI SMM PLATFORM – an AI-based marketing tool for social media.

Among the presented projects, initiatives with strong implementation potential and promising future prospects were especially highlighted. The jury evaluated the projects based on their innovative character, practical significance, and level of technical implementation. The competition enhanced students’ creativity, deepened their knowledge in digital technologies, and allowed them to master artificial intelligence tools through real projects. In the future, students plan to continue developing their ideas, refine their projects, and implement them in practical applications.
