ALT Associate Professor of the Department of AT&S, Bimagambetova L.N. successfully completed the prestigious international Oceanman Thailand 2025 swim, which took place on the coast of Kao Lak, Phang Nga Province, Thailand
She participated in a full marathon distance of 10 kilometers, completed it in 4 hours 11 minutes 44 seconds and took 2nd place in the age category of 40-49 years.
The preparation for this start lasted 4.5 months and included intensive training in the pool and open water, physical and mental preparation, as well as participation in intermediate competitions. This achievement demonstrates a high level of discipline, endurance and desire for development, which Professor Bimagambetova conveys to her students and colleagues. And it should be noted that she started her swimming career from scratch three years ago.
Oceanman Thailand is one of the world’s largest open-water events, bringing together top amateur and professional athletes from various countries. The participation and successful performance of an ALT University representative on the international stage is a shining example of promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle, sustainable development, and personal responsibility upheld by our university.
