On October 27, 2026, the School of Engineering at M. Tynyshpayev ALT University held an educational and awareness-raising seminar entitled “Clean Water — the Foundation of a Sustainable Future,” dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) — “Clean Water and Sanitation.”
During the seminar, participants discussed important issues related to water resource conservation, access to safe and clean drinking water, prevention of water pollution, and sustainable water management. Particular attention was paid to environmental challenges in Kazakhstan associated with water resources and the importance of their responsible and efficient use.
Students of the School of Engineering actively participated in the discussions, shared their opinions, and proposed practical ways to conserve water in everyday life.
The main objective of the event was to enhance students’ environmental awareness, promote responsible attitudes toward water resource management, and emphasize the importance of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The seminar contributed to the development of students’ environmental awareness and culture, increased their understanding of global and regional water-related challenges, and encouraged a sense of personal responsibility for preserving natural resources for future generations.
