On October 22, 2026, a guest lecture on the topic “Toyota’s New Approaches to Improving the Qualifications of Service Personnel and Training Methods” was organized by the Head of the Department of Automotive Engineering and Safety. Students of the group APSM(AAH)-23-3r visited the Toyota Center in Almaty — Trade House “Astana Motors Almaty” LLP.

The invited speaker was Senior Lecturer Mirlan Turarbekovich Satanov.

Toyota’s modern approaches to improving the qualifications of service personnel are based on a combination of continuous improvement, practical training, standardization of work processes, and the development of professional responsibility. The philosophy of Kaizen, the principles of the Toyota Production System, mentoring, and systematic competency assessment play an important role in this process. Under modern conditions, these approaches can be complemented by digital educational platforms, simulation-based training methods, and specialized training programs for servicing hybrid and electric vehicles. Thus, an effective training system should be viewed not as a one-time activity but as a continuous process of professional development. Its results include improved employee qualifications, higher quality of technical maintenance, fewer errors, and increased customer confidence in Toyota service centers.

To further improve the qualifications of service personnel, a comprehensive program combining Toyota’s traditional methods with modern educational technologies can be proposed.
