As part of Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9), “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure,” an educational excursion to Almatytrans Telecom JSC was organized for first-year students of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications.
The initiative was proposed by Meruert Kairatkyzy Nemerbayeva, a lecturer at the department. During the excursion, students learned about the company’s activities, the operation of telecommunications infrastructure, modern information transmission technologies, and the professional responsibilities of specialists in the telecommunications industry.
The purpose of the excursion was to broaden students’ professional horizons, provide practical insight into their future careers, and increase their interest in innovative telecommunications technologies.
Such activities help strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and industry, develop the professional competencies of future specialists, and contribute to SDG 9 by promoting sustainable infrastructure, innovation, and technological development.
