As part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 15 “Life on Land,” students of ALT University took part in the “Taza Kazakhstan” environmental campaign aimed at protecting natural areas, improving the environment and promoting environmental awareness.
On September 19, a city-wide community clean-up was held in Almaty as part of Almaty City Day and World Cleanup Day.
One of the main locations of the environmental campaign was the Ayusai Visitor Center. Local residents, young people, volunteers and representatives of various organizations took part in the initiative, contributing to the clean-up and improvement of the natural area.
Around 300 students from ALT University actively participated in the clean-up campaign, contributing to environmental protection and the improvement of the natural area. As part of the initiative, 100 coniferous trees — 50 pine trees and 50 spruce trees — were planted in the Ayusai area.
The active participation of students in the environmental initiative helped promote a responsible attitude towards nature, strengthen environmental awareness and encourage civic engagement among young people.
Such initiatives not only contribute to the preservation of natural ecosystems, but also help foster environmental responsibility among the younger generation and demonstrate the importance of individual contribution to a cleaner and greener future.
Taza Kazakhstan — a shared responsibility!
