On 22 October 2026, the ALT University Academic and Methodological Council reviewed the lists of topics for graduation projects and comprehensive graduation projects, taking into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Particular attention was paid to the relevance of the proposed topics, their practical focus, and their alignment with current professional requirements.

The graduation project topics are designed to address pressing challenges in the transport sector and related fields. Key areas include:

  • development of transport infrastructure;
  • digitalisation and automation of production processes;
  • application of artificial intelligence and intelligent technologies;
  • development of energy systems;
  • implementation of innovative engineering and information technology solutions.

Special attention was given to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the preparation of graduation projects. Students were encouraged to use AI tools to analyse large datasets, model and forecast processes, identify optimal engineering solutions, and develop intelligent systems and digital products.

“Graduation project topics should be developed with due regard for the industry’s actual needs and the country’s strategic priorities. It is important to us that, while preparing a graduation project, students address tasks of practical value, apply modern technologies—including artificial intelligence—effectively, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” said K. S. Baktybayeva, Chief Specialist and Expert at the Office of Academic Planning and Control.

The practical focus of graduation projects strengthens the University’s cooperation with employers, experts, and transport-sector organisations, creating opportunities to jointly address current production and infrastructure challenges.

This approach aims to develop the professional and digital competencies sought in today’s labour market and to prepare specialists who are ready to contribute to the sustainable development of the country’s transport and logistics sector and infrastructure.
