On September 9, 2026, the management of JSC “Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev ALT University” held a working meeting with representatives of Changan Auto. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in engineering education, the training of automotive specialists, and the integration of modern technologies into the educational process.
The meeting was attended by Arslan Seriktegi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ALT University; Meruert Zharmagambetova, Chairman of the Board – Rector; vice-rectors; and representatives of the International Relations Office, School of Engineering, and Department of Automotive Engineering and Safety. The international partners were represented by Zhang Kai and Gaukhar Sagadiyeva.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the establishment of a specialized training workshop at ALT University. The parties considered the delivery of modern equipment, preparation of the necessary documentation, and organization of the training facilities. During the meeting, they confirmed their readiness to continue implementing the workshop project at the University.
The new workshop is expected to become a practice-oriented educational platform for training automotive specialists. It will provide students with opportunities to study vehicle systems and maintenance, work with modern equipment, and acquire experience with advanced industrial technologies.
Particular attention was also given to the training of ALT University instructors. A specialized training programme lasting from six months to one year is expected to be organized. The knowledge and practical skills acquired through the programme will support the educational process and the future operation of the workshop.
The participants also discussed academic cooperation with Chinese universities, the development of dual-degree programmes, opportunities for ALT University students to study in China, and the recruitment of Chinese students to Master’s programmes. The parties additionally considered the prospects of establishing a branch of a Chinese university at ALT University.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed their interest in further developing cooperation. The proposed joint initiatives will strengthen students’ practical training, expand international engagement, and create new opportunities to introduce modern automotive technologies into the educational process at ALT University.
