A working meeting with representatives of JSC NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» was held at ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev to discuss the development of dual education and further strengthening cooperation between the University and one of the leading enterprises in Kazakhstan’s railway industry.

The meeting marked an important step towards enhancing practice-oriented training of specialists, as close cooperation with employers enables the University to take into account the actual needs and requirements of the industry when developing students’ professional competencies.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for implementing dual education for students enrolled in the following educational programs:

  • Automation and Control;
  • Radio Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications;
  • Electric Power Engineering, IT Energy;
  • Railway Track and Track Facilities;
  • Bridges, Tunnels and Metros;
  • Transportation Organization, Traffic Management and Transport Operations.

Dual education is one of the key tools for training specialists who are prepared to work in real industrial environments. This format enables students to combine theoretical knowledge gained at the University with practical training at industry enterprises, develop professional skills and gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of their future profession.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the organization of practical training, identification of training sites, interaction between students and industry professionals, as well as mentoring. The participants discussed opportunities to strengthen coordination between the University and enterprises of JSC NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» in order to provide students with practical experience aligned with their chosen educational programs.

For ALT University, cooperation with JSC NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» is of strategic importance. The University offers a wide range of educational programs aimed at training specialists for the transport and railway industries and continues to systematically develop mechanisms for cooperation with employers.

Enhancing students’ practical training, involving industry representatives in the educational process, developing dual education and building professional competencies in line with labour market requirements are important components of a modern workforce development system.

Following the meeting, both parties expressed their interest in further developing cooperation in the field of dual education and implementing joint initiatives.

ALT University continues to strengthen partnerships with leading enterprises in the transport industry, creating additional opportunities for students to develop professionally, gain practical experience and successfully launch their careers.
