Faculty members from the Mukhamejan Tynyshpayev ALT University are currently undergoing an international internship at the Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics (MTUCI) in Moscow.
Representing ALT University in the internship program:
-
Zarina Omirbekova – Senior Lecturer, Department of Information and Communication Technologies;
-
Meruert Nemerbayeva – Lecturer, Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications.
The internship covers cutting-edge technological fields: telecommunication systems and communication networks, IT and software engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analysis, cybersecurity, digital economy and fintech, space and satellite technologies, and modern educational methodologies.
A key highlight of the program is participation in the Communications and Informatics Festival Russia (CIFR-2026), held at MTUCI from March 10 to 13. The festival has brought together scientists, students, and industry leaders from the CIS, Central and Southeast Asia, China, Africa, and the Middle East.
The festival agenda includes the plenary session of the XX International Scientific and Technical Conference “Information Society Technologies,” the IEEE Conference “Systems of Signals Generating and Processing in the Field of On-Board Communications,” and high-level discussions on the export of IT education.
A major attraction of the festival is the “M*CTF International” cybersecurity competition, e-sports tournaments, and the Drone Racing Championship. Representing the university in the drone championship is Igor Pikalov, a 4th-year student of the “Automation and Control” program.
The participation of faculty and students in such international programs fosters academic mobility, expands scientific networks, and integrates leading educational and technological practices into the university’s curriculum. This internship also opens new horizons for strengthening international cooperation and joint research projects.
