On September 7, 2026, a seminar-training entitled “Causes, Functions and Forms of Suicidal Behavior. Suicide Risk Factors” was held at ALT University Student Residence Hall No. 3. The event was organized by the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health of ALT University in alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-being.”
The main speaker was Asem Zhenisova, Clinical Psychologist at the Youth Health Center under Polyclinic No. 7 in Almaty. Attended by first-year residents of Student Residence Hall No. 3, the workshop focused on recognizing signs of emotional distress, developing safe communication strategies, and identifying when professional psychological intervention is needed.
At the conclusion of the event, university psychologists Dariya Shabdenova and Nurhan Qapar led drawing-based psychological tests and projective exercises aimed at fostering emotional reflection, self-awareness, and self-help skills. Caring for mental health begins with awareness of oneself and those around us.
