On July 2, the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University held a grand graduation ceremony to honor the latest cohort of the Institute of Energy and Digital Technologies.
Chair of the Board – Rector of ALT University, Meruert Zharmagambetova, delivered an inspiring congratulatory address to the graduating class. She emphasized the critical value of engineering and technological education amidst today’s rapid economic acceleration, encouraging the graduates to confidently forge their professional careers, apply their acquired expertise in practice, and actively drive national progress. The event also featured a special video address from Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The academic degrees were presented to the graduates by Ainur Zhumakanovna Toigozhinova, Director of the Institute of Energy and Digital Technologies. This year, approximately 600 undergraduate and postgraduate students successfully completed their academic tracks at the institute.
A distinguished group of honorary guests attended the ceremony to share in the graduates’ milestone achievement: Kaltai Sambetov, recipient of the Orders of “Otan,” “Kurmet,” and “Parasat,” veteran of the railway industry, Advisor to the Director of the Almaty Trunk Network Branch of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” and Chairman of the Veterans Council; Duan Umarov, Chairman of the Railway Veterans Council of the Almaty Region; Abai Asylov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Alatau Zharyk Kompaniiyasy”; and Nurzhan Satbaev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Alageum Electric management company. They congratulated the graduates on reaching this pivotal life chapter and wished them outstanding professional success.
Special recognition was given to students who, throughout their years of study, demonstrated exceptional proactivity in university public life, contributed to social, scientific, and creative initiatives, and honorably represented ALT University across various regional and national platforms. The top graduates were awarded letters of appreciation and honors for their outstanding contributions to the student community.
Warm words of gratitude were also extended to the parents of the graduates. For their unwavering support, dedication to upbringing, and vital contribution to their children’s success, the most active parents were honored with official letters of appreciation from the university. This tribute stood out as one of the most moving highlights of the ceremony.
The ceremony concluded with commemorative group photographs and the traditional cap toss. For the young specialists, this day symbolized the successful completion of a major milestone and the launch of a promising professional journey.
