On September 4, 2026, ALT University hosted an orientation meeting for international students enrolled for the 2026–2027 academic year across Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs.
The event provided incoming students with an opportunity to engage with university leadership, familiarize themselves with the academic ecosystem, explore the structural framework of ALT University, and receive essential guidance for a seamless transition into studying in Kazakhstan.
Meruert Zharmagambetova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of ALT University, delivered the opening address, congratulating the new cohort on their admission and wishing them academic excellence, an enriching campus life, and continuous professional growth:
“We are delighted to welcome you to ALT University. We wish you great success in your studies, an engaging student experience, new lifelong friendships, and vast opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our leadership and faculty are fully committed to supporting you throughout your academic journey. I trust that here in Almaty and across Kazakhstan, you will build lasting connections, gain invaluable experience, and bring your aspirations to life,” the Rector emphasized.
The meeting was also attended by Arslan Beibituly Seriktegi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ALT University, along with the executive leadership team. Administrative officials, vice-rectors, school directors, and department heads engaged directly with students to outline the institutional support mechanisms available across campus.
A core focus was placed on international student adaptation. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions directly to administrative representatives and clarify specific departments responsible for academic advising, administrative support, and campus logistics.
Special attention was drawn to student participation in university initiatives, research projects, tech hackathons, startup incubators, and civic engagement. ALT University actively encourages international students to not only excel academically but also take an active role in campus community life.
As part of the orientation, incoming international students were presented with copies of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This symbolic gesture served as an introduction to the history, values, and civic framework of the host nation where they will be living and pursuing their degrees.
