As part of international educational cooperation, ALT University faculty are undertaking specialised training in the use of industrial robots in the People’s Republic of China.
The participants are Nursulu Abilseitkyzy Makhasheva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science; Balyngul Khabibollakyzy and Dina Alpysbayevna Smailova, Senior Lecturers at the Department of Telecommunications; Bakhytzhan Ramazanovich Shalabayev, ALT Associate Professor and Candidate of Technical Sciences at the Department of Automation and Control; and Sardor Berdibekovich Yuldashov, Design Engineer at the Technopark.
The training is taking place in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, under the international Luban Workshop project. The programme enables faculty members to strengthen their professional skills, master modern industrial automation technologies and bring advanced international practices into the university’s teaching process.
At the facilities of the Chinese company BODATE, participants receive both theoretical and practical training. They study the principles of operating and programming ROKAE industrial robots, equipment configuration methods and the use of robotic systems in automated manufacturing processes.
The practical sessions provide faculty with hands-on experience using modern robotic systems and enable them to apply the knowledge gained when updating courses, developing practical and laboratory classes, and integrating modern robotics and automation technologies into the educational process.
The programme supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, Goal 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals. It develops faculty expertise, promotes the integration of modern technologies into education, advances innovative educational infrastructure and strengthens international cooperation in education, science and technology.
Participation in the programme strengthens cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in education and technology, develops the professional capacity of ALT University faculty, supports the exchange of advanced international experience and promotes the integration of modern robotics, industrial automation and digital technologies into the university’s educational process.
