ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev hosted a meeting with representatives of the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research (NSCSOR), during which the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening collaboration in education, scientific research, and the training of highly qualified professionals.
The signing of the Memorandum marks an important milestone in expanding cooperation between the University and one of Kazakhstan’s leading scientific organizations engaged in comprehensive research in seismology, geophysics, and the monitoring of natural processes.
During the meeting, the parties discussed several promising areas of cooperation, including:
- organizing academic, industrial, and research internships for students;
- implementing joint scientific research projects;
- holding guest lectures, seminars, round-table discussions, and scientific conferences;
- involving NSCSOR experts in the educational process and professional advisory activities;
- promoting academic and professional collaboration in geoinformation technologies, geodesy, geology, engineering surveys, and natural hazard monitoring.
Particular attention was paid to enhancing students’ practical training. Through this partnership, ALT University students will have the opportunity to complete internships under the guidance of leading specialists from the Center, participate in research activities, gain hands-on experience with modern seismological monitoring technologies, and apply their knowledge to solving real engineering challenges.
The representatives of both organizations emphasized that combining the University’s educational potential with the research capabilities of the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research will contribute to improving the quality of specialist training, strengthening the scientific component of education, and creating new opportunities for joint projects.
