The Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University has signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation with the “City Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education” of the Education Department of Almaty.
The document was officially signed by Meruert Zharmagambetova, Chair of the Board – Rector of ALT University, and Ardak Smagulova, Acting Director of the City Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education.
The signing of the memorandum aims to establish a long-term and effective partnership in education, youth career guidance, and the training of highly in-demand specialists, while strengthening the connection between academia and the modern labor market.
The parties agreed to jointly implement initiatives aimed at advancing engineering, IT, transport, logistics, and business education, as well as popularizing technical and innovative careers among school students and youth in Almaty.
Within the framework of this cooperation, extensive career guidance work is planned, including regional visits, presentations, educational events, and consultations across city schools and colleges. Special emphasis will be placed on early professional navigation for students, fostering their interest in engineering and technological fields of study.
Furthermore, the memorandum provides for joint seminars, forums, masterclasses, scientific-educational conferences, and practical sessions for school students, university students, educators, and career counselors. ALT University will also host professional trials and introductory programs, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with modern engineering professions and explore the university’s advanced infrastructure.
A key focus of this partnership will be the development of human capital and professional development for teaching staff. The parties intend to implement specialized training programs, workshops, and methodological seminars for teachers, school psychologists, and education specialists, focusing on modern educational technologies, digitalization, and professional diagnostics of students.
The memorandum also outlines collaborative efforts in organizing production and pre-graduation internships for students, enhancing interaction with city enterprises and industrial partners, and facilitating graduate employment.
Particular attention will be dedicated to joint research and educational projects aimed at developing an innovative environment, integrating modern technologies into the learning process, and training a workforce that meets the evolving demands of the future economy.
ALT University noted that this memorandum is a crucial step toward reinforcing ties between the university and the municipal education system. It will expand professional growth opportunities for young people, improve training quality, and contribute to building a modern educational ecosystem in Almaty.
