ALT University and Karshi State Technical University (Republic of Uzbekistan) have officially agreed to advance strategic cooperation across education, science, and technological innovation. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Meruert Zharmagambetova, Chair of the Board – Rector of ALT University, and Sherzod Nematov, Rector of Karshi State Technical University.
The signing ceremony took place during the International Educational Forum of Central Asia on October 28, 2026, in Tashkent. The bilateral agreement aims to solidify academic ties between both engineering institutions and establish a framework for joint scientific and educational initiatives.
Key areas of partnership encompass student and faculty academic mobility, international study programs, the design of joint degree curricula, and collaborative scientific research projects. The partner institutions also intend to drive knowledge sharing among researchers, exchange academic literature and resources, and jointly host international scientific conferences, seminars, and symposia.
Special emphasis is placed on collaborative interdisciplinary research projects and academic tracks of mutual strategic value. This framework will expand professional networks between engineering faculties and create valuable opportunities for technical knowledge exchange across Central Asia.
The execution of this agreement marks another key milestone in ALT University’s internationalization strategy and its initiative to build robust partnerships across Central Asian universities.
For ALT University, deepening international academic networks creates new avenues for research and degree programs, elevates student and faculty competencies, and meaningfully contributes to a unified scientific and educational landscape across the region.
