The event supports Sustainable Development Goal 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by advancing innovation, scientific and technological skills, and modern digital infrastructure.

The international HackAlem AI Hackathon was held in Astana from 23 to 25 September 2026. Students from the Department of Computer Science at ALT University participated in the event after successfully completing the qualifying stage.

Kobetai Beksultan Yermukhanuly, a second-year master’s student in the Department of Computer Science at ALT University, also participated in the international hackathon.

HackAlem AI Hackathon brought together students, young researchers, and developers interested in applying artificial intelligence to current practical challenges. Participants worked on technology projects, exchanged experience, and presented their solutions to experts.

Participation in the international hackathon enabled the students to apply their knowledge in practice, strengthen their teamwork skills, and gain experience in developing solutions using modern artificial intelligence technologies.
