In celebration of Republic Day, a ceremonial raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place at the Medeu high-altitude skating rink in Almaty. Students of ALT University also participated in the event, which celebrated the country’s independence and national unity.
The ceremony was attended by Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satybaldy, representatives of public and youth organizations, cultural figures, athletes, city residents, and visitors. More than 1,500 people gathered for the occasion.
During the ceremony, the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan was performed accompanied by a military brass band. The national flag, measuring 7 × 14 meters, was raised on a 40-meter flagpole.
Participation in such meaningful events helps foster patriotism among young people, strengthen respect for national values, and encourage a sense of responsibility for the country’s future.
