In January 2026, the ALT University Institute of Military Affairs (IMA) held a series of significant events highlighting the university’s contribution to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
Key Achievements of the Month:
-
Training a New Generation of Personnel (SDG 4, SDG 8): On January 21, a solemn event was held to celebrate Engineering Troops Day and the anniversary of the Institute of Deputy Commanders for Educational Work. The importance of training reserve officers was highly emphasized. The Institute shows consistent progress: after graduating 27 officer-educators in 2025, it expects to graduate 45 engineering specialists in 2026. This directly contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by providing young people with highly sought-after professional skills.
-
Strengthening Public Institutions (SDG 16): The IMA’s activities in training reserve officers are a vital component of the University’s sustainable development strategy, focusing on national security and the development of effective public institutions.
These initiatives confirm the Institute of Military Affairs’ role as a premier center for training highly qualified specialists capable of ensuring national stability and strategic growth.
