During the winter examination session of the 2025–2026 academic year, Turkebayev M. Zh., Associate Professor of the Department of Rolling Stock at ALT University, conducted an examination in the format of case-based tasks with completion and defense.
The examination was held for 4th-year students of the educational program 6B07116 – “Railway Cars” (group V-22-1k) in the discipline “Technology of Railway Car Repair”, as well as for 2nd-year students of the educational program 6B07137 – “Rolling Stock Engineering” (group US-IPS(V)-24-1p) in the discipline “Technology of Railway Car and Container Repair”.
During the case examination, students presented their project presentations, completed practice-oriented assignments, and provided written and oral answers related to the technological process of railway car repair, which includes the stages of acceptance and defect detection, disassembly of units and components, cleaning and restoration of parts, assembly, adjustment, testing, and handover of cars for operation.
As a result of the case task defense, students demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and well-developed professional competencies in the field of organization and technology of railway car and container repair, assessment of the technical condition of rolling stock components, selection of efficient repair methods, as well as compliance with regulatory and technical documentation and railway operation safety requirements.
