On September 9, 2026, the Department of Language Studies at ALT University held a National Day event dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The event aimed to promote the national culture, traditions, and values of the Kazakh people, as well as to demonstrate the harmonious coexistence of diverse linguistic cultures.
The event became a vibrant platform for exploring Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage, contributing to the strengthening of national identity, respect for traditions, and intercultural dialogue. As part of the programme, students and teachers immersed themselves in the linguistic and cultural environments of four key languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, and Chinese.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education,” and Sustainable Development Goal 17, “Partnerships for the Goals.” It supports cultural and linguistic education while bringing together the university’s students, faculty members, and staff.
