On January 21, 2026, the Charter of the Institute of Transport Sciences and Technologies was officially signed. The document was approved by Meruert S. Zharmagambetova, Chair of the Management Board – Rector of ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev, and Bagdat B. Teltaev, Director of the Institute of Transport Sciences and Technologies, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the approved Charter, the new Institute will conduct activities in the fields of scientific research, engineering surveys, design, construction, and diagnostics of highways and bridge structures, as well as provide expert support for public-private partnership projects, innovative development initiatives, and educational programs.
The priority areas of the Institute’s activities include:
– conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of transport infrastructure;
– developing and implementing modern solutions for the road and transport sectors;
– providing expert and analytical support for infrastructure and investment projects;
– training and professional development of transport specialists;
– integrating science, education, and industrial practice.
The establishment of the Institute is aimed at advancing applied science, strengthening the research potential of ALT University, and forming a modern scientific and educational ecosystem in the fields of transport and logistics.
It should be recalled that the Memorandum on the establishment of the Institute of Transport Sciences and Technologies was signed on January 9, 2026.
