On May 18, 2026, as part of the practical curriculum of the “Service to Society” course, a comprehensive eco-friendly event titled “Clean Campus – Clean City” was held. The initiative was driven by the faculty and students of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies. This event was organized within the framework of United Nations SDG 15, which focuses on protecting terrestrial ecosystems, preserving the environment, and fostering a deeply responsible attitude toward nature among young people.
During the eco-action, the university campus grounds were thoroughly cleared of waste, courtyards and pedestrian walkways were revitalized, and the campus’s green spaces and landscapes were carefully maintained. In addition, interactive awareness sessions were conducted for students, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity protection, sustainable waste reduction, and the daily adaptation of eco-friendly habits.
The participants demonstrated exceptional engagement, teamwork, and civic responsibility. Such vital university initiatives not only contribute to the enhancement of students’ environmental culture but also promote a long-term, conscious attitude toward nature conservation and sustainable urban development.
