On March 13 of the current year, a meaningful meeting with students was held within the university walls, organized by the “Sana” Intellectual Youth School Public Foundation as part of the comprehensive project “Prevention of Internet and Gambling Addiction among Youth.”

The main purpose of the event was to raise awareness among young people about the harmful effects of excessive internet use and gambling, discuss ways to prevent such dependencies, and promote a culture of conscious and healthy lifestyles among students.

During the meeting, experts and invited speakers provided detailed information about the responsible and balanced use of the internet, effective time management, and the psychological and social consequences of gambling addiction. In addition, discussions focused on the importance of organizing leisure time productively, developing positive habits aimed at personal growth, and avoiding harmful addictions.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions that concerned them and received practical advice from specialists. The meeting was held in an open and interactive format, where participants shared their opinions and offered suggestions on preventing internet and gambling addiction among young people.

Such educational meetings not only enhance students’ information literacy but also contribute to shaping responsible, conscious, and socially active citizens.

The event was held within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

  • SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being – ensuring the psychological and social well-being of young people;
  • SDG 4 – Quality Education – developing students’ informational and life skills;
  • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – fostering responsible and conscious civic engagement in society.
