On May 19, 2026, as part of the “Service to Society” course, an excursion to the EcoHub Almaty environmental center was organized for university students under the guidance of N.A. Makhasheva, a teacher of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies.
This event was held within the framework of SDG 12 – “Responsible Consumption and Production.” The main goal was to develop students’ environmental awareness, promote responsible consumption, and highlight the importance of environmental protection
EcoHub Almaty is a modern environmental platform focused on waste sorting, recycling, and eco-education. During the excursion, students participated in waste sorting activities, explored recycling processes, and gained practical skills in efficient resource use.
As a result, students gained valuable hands-on experience and strengthened their ability to apply sustainable development principles in everyday life.
