On April 8, 2026, a field-based practical session was organized for bachelor students of group ULJS-25-1 within the course “Commercial Operation of Railway Transport” at the Regional Transportation Management Center of the South-Eastern Region of JSC “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”.

The field session was organized and led by Molgazhdarov Amangeldy Sabdievich, Associate Professor of the Department of Transport Services and Business at ALT University.

During the session, students explored real-life transportation process management. The practical route covered Turkestan to Zashchita stations, including Shymkent, Lenger, Shu, Almaty-1, and Otar.

Students studied:

  • technical infrastructure of railway stations;
  • operational features of railway sections;
  • characteristics of train routes;
  • weight categories and speed parameters of passenger and freight trains.

A key highlight was the visit to the situational center, where specialists demonstrated real-time operational management, including delay regulation, locomotive and crew coordination.

Students also visited the scientific-technical library and the Railway Transport Museum, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge through practice.

The session emphasized the importance of professional competencies for future careers in railway logistics and transportation management.
