As part of the implementation of SDG 4 “Quality Education,” on April 17, 2026, the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at M. Tynyshpaev ALT University held a foresight session on the topic: “Prospects for the Development of the Educational Program 6B061 – Information and Communication Technologies.”
The event was attended by representatives of the country’s leading companies operating in key sectors of the digital economy fintech, telecommunications, IT development, education, and industry. Among them were JSC “Halyk Bank,” JSC “Altyn Bank,” JSC “Freedom Bank,” JSC “Kcell,” LLP “QSTEM,” LLP “Juz40 Education,” LLP “QAZAQ Investment Company,” LLP “Energy System Logistics,” LLP “GameChanger,” LLP “Hyper Technology,” as well as heads of software development departments from universities. The participants also included experts and executives with significant practical experience and a deep understanding of current industry trends.
During the session, the department’s academic programs were reviewed: 6B06116 – Information Systems, 6B06118 – Software Engineering, and 6B06126 – Applied Artificial Intelligence. Participants discussed the course content, proposed updates in line with modern labor market requirements, and emphasized the need to strengthen practice-oriented student training.
Special attention was given to cooperation with industry partners. As a result of the discussion, agreements were reached regarding student internships in participating companies, as well as further development of cooperation.
In the near future, the ICT Department plans to update curricula based on the recommendations received and intensify efforts to conclude partnership agreements. This includes organizing internships, developing graduation projects based on real business cases, holding guest lectures, and conducting joint hackathons.
Such cooperation will allow students not only to gain up-to-date knowledge, but also to acquire valuable practical experience during their studies.
