A graduate of our university, Bakytykul Saginbaevna Rakhmetova, Engineer for Engineering and Technical Documentation at the Almaty Signalling and Communications Division, conducted a seminar for first-year students and faculty members.
During the seminar, she provided valuable and engaging information about the modern structure of KTZ, digitalization processes, as well as innovations in the fields of railway communications and signalling. Students had the opportunity to learn directly from an experienced industry professional about their future working environment and to ask questions of interest to them.
For the faculty, the seminar was also valuable in terms of aligning educational programmes with current industry requirements. The university will continue its tradition of maintaining strong connections with graduates and promoting the exchange of practical professional experience.
The seminar contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 9 — “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.” During the event, students were introduced to modern railway infrastructure, digitalization, and innovative solutions in signalling and communication systems. This helped broaden their professional understanding of the industrial environment and modern technologies used in the railway sector.
