On February 27, 2026, ALT University hosted an important seminar on the topic: “Production Practice of a New Generation: From Internship to Active Participation in Solving Enterprise Problems.”

The event was organized by faculty members of the Department of Transport Services and Business – L.K. Bekmagambetova and Z.K. Bitileuova, as well as the Department of Rolling Stock – G.K. Ashirbayev. The seminar brought together students of the Institute of Logistics and Management, teachers, and invited industry representatives to discuss pressing issues regarding the interaction between education and the real economic sector.

Within the framework of the seminar, reports and expert opinions were presented by invited speakers — leading specialists in the transport industry:

  • Kairatov Kanat Kairatovich – Duty Officer at the Distance Control Center 2, Transportation Process Department, RCUP-2 (NZS-7 Almaty);

  • Tastanov Rustem Yesenovich – Shift Supervisor at the Distance Control Center 2, Transportation Process Department, RCUP-2 (NZS-7 Almaty);

  • Abdreev Gabit Almasbekovich – Assistant Director of the “KTZ Express” branch – “KTZ South”;

  • Aykumbekov M.N. – Transportation Process Analyst at “Transcomm” LLP.

The key idea of the meeting was the transition from the traditional model of passive internship to a format where the student, even at the practice stage, becomes a full participant in production processes. The invited experts shared real-life cases and identified specific skills that are most in demand in the market today.

The seminar directly aligns with three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) followed by ALT University:

  • 🎯 SDG 4: Quality Education – the event contributes to the modernization of educational programs and ensures their compliance with the current requirements of employers, fostering students’ practical competencies.

  • 🎯 SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – the discussed practice formats aim to increase the competitiveness of graduates and their successful employment, contributing to the sustainable economic growth of the region.

  • 🎯 SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – interaction with leading players in the transport industry (KTZ, Transcomm) and the introduction of innovative approaches to personnel training directly contribute to the development of infrastructure and the modernization of the industry.

We thank all speakers for their insightful presentations and the audience for the active dialogue! Together we are building a sustainable future!
