On March 12 of this year, a meeting of student presidents from universities in Almaty was held on the university campus. The main topic of the meeting was SGD 11: “Which volunteer organizations can we create to preserve the ecosystem in our city?”
Students actively shared their opinions, discussing ecological projects and initiatives. New ideas were proposed to protect the city’s nature, reduce waste, and maintain green areas. Each participant expressed their readiness to take concrete steps to preserve the ecosystem in their respective universities.
As part of the meeting, participants took a tour of the university campus, exploring its ecological infrastructure. Young leaders examined ways to enhance their universities’ and the city’s contributions to preserving green spaces.
This event inspired students to further develop ecological awareness, a sense of social responsibility, and to launch new volunteer projects.
