As part of Sustainable Development Goal No. 4, “Quality Education,” a guest lecture by Alexander Marchuk, Chief Engineer of Peri Kazakhstan, was held at the Department of General Engineering on December 14, 2025. The theme of the meeting, “Technologies for Monolithic Construction Works,” drew significant attention from civil engineering students, master’s students, and faculty members.

Alexander Marchuk, an expert with years of experience in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects, provided a deep analysis of the current state of the construction industry. The primary focus was placed on the transition from traditional methods to high-tech engineering solutions.

Key discussion topics included:

  • Industrial Formwork: How PERI system solutions reduce construction timelines without compromising quality.
  • High-Rise Technologies: Specifics of working with self-climbing systems on high-complexity projects.
  • Digitalization (BIM): Integrating formwork design into a unified digital building model to eliminate errors during the installation phase.
  • Safety: Designing work zones that minimize risks during high-altitude operations.

The lecture went beyond the traditional format; the speaker demonstrated real-life company cases in Kazakhstan and answered questions regarding career prospects for young engineers within international companies.

The meeting clearly demonstrated that modern monolithic work is a highly intellectual process. It requires specialists to possess not only knowledge of building codes but also proficiency in advanced software and project management skills.

Students showed a high level of interest in the topic, actively participating in discussions, asking questions, and sharing their views. The lecture took place in a warm and productive atmosphere, leaving a positive impression on all attendees.
