On April 30, 2026, Associate Professors of the Department of Language Education, G.A. Kalambayeva and G.K. Yeszhanova, organized and conducted a poetry hour titled “Heartstrings” with students of groups 315, 320, 26, 27, and 45 within the framework of the university’s SDG 4 initiative “Quality Education.”
The event was aimed at developing students’ interest in artistic expression, fostering aesthetic perception, strengthening spiritual and moral values, and broadening their cultural outlook.
During the poetry hour, an expressive and emotionally rich literary selection of works by Russian and Kazakh poets was presented. The students demonstrated a high level of preparation by reciting poems with deep understanding of their meaning and strong intonational expressiveness. Special attention was given to the theme of the inner world of a person, the power of poetic language, and its influence on personality development.
During the discussion, participants shared their reflections on the role of poetry in the modern world, its significance in preserving cultural heritage, and its contribution to the development of aesthetic taste. The poetry hour was held in a warm and creative atmosphere, becoming a platform for lively communication, inspiration, and students’ engagement with the spiritual values of world literature.
