On April 29, 2026, within the framework of the month of “SCIENCE at ALT University,” a meeting of the Scientific Seminar “HIGH-SPEED TRANSPORT: PROBLEMS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS” was held, on the topic “Industrial Engineering and Innovation.” The main speaker was Akhatov Semyat Turganzhanovich, a doctoral graduate, master of technical sciences, who spoke about the results of his research. The report struck a deep chord with the academic community. Leading university scientists took part in the discussion of innovative methods of adapting transport to climate challenges. The discussion was attended by Ph.D., professors Solonenko V.G., Makhmetova N.M., Musaev Zh. S., Ph.D., Assoc. Professor Ashirbaev G.K., Bikhozhaeva G.S., Ashirbaeva I.A., Naimanova G.T., Imangalieva A.K.

The focus of engineers today is to reduce the carbon footprint. The development of high-speed highways directly contributes to the achievement of UN benchmarks: SDG 13 (Combating climate change).

  • Reducing COemissions : Switching passenger and cargo flows from air and road transport to rail electric transport dramatically reduces greenhouse gases.
  • Energy efficiency:New approaches in industrial engineering allow optimizing the aerodynamics and energy consumption of rolling stock.
  • Sustainable infrastructure:Designing roads to take into account climate risks minimizes anthropogenic stress on ecosystems.
