On April 15, 2026, students of the University’s Institute of Military Affairs visited the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after G. Musrepov. On the eve of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, students watched a play called “Aliya”, dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union, sniper Aliya Moldagulova. The students attended the performance in the context of the academic discipline “Military History” on the topic: “Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War”, which fully corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 “Quality education”.
Attending the performance dedicated to Aliya Moldagulova made a deep and emotional impression on the students. From the very first minutes, the production captured the attention of the audience with its sincerity, intense atmosphere and soulful acting.
The students noted that the performance allowed them to take a fresh look at the feat of a young girl who, despite her young age, showed courage, fortitude and selfless devotion to the Motherland. Many admitted that they had previously known about her only in general terms, but thanks to the theatrical production they were able to feel her inner world, feelings and strength of character.
The audience was particularly impressed by the scenes depicting the harsh reality of the war years. They evoked a sense of empathy and pride for the heroine, and also made her think about the price of peace and the importance of patriotism in modern society. Some students stressed that they could not contain their emotions during the performance, the life story of Aliya Moldagulova was so truthfully and touchingly conveyed.
After watching, many discussed what they saw, shared their thoughts and feelings. The performance became not only a cultural event, but also an important educational moment, contributing to the formation of respect for the history and exploits of the ancestors.
In general, attending this performance left students with vivid, unforgettable impressions and prompted them to become more deeply interested in the history of their country and the heroic destinies of its outstanding personalities.
