On May 21, 2026, a practical training session was held at the university, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Deputy Head of the Institute of Military Affairs, Colonel (Reserve) Chunetov Aydin Mavletkhanovich. The event was attended by the university administration, heads of military departments from higher educational institutions in Almaty, as well as colleagues and associates of the honoree.
During the session, key issues regarding the development of military education and its pivotal role in training qualified specialists and the mobilization reserve were examined. Special attention was paid to a practical lesson within the discipline “Educational and Ideological Work,” focusing on the organization of cultural and leisure activities within military units. This format significantly contributed to the development of students’ applied skills and professional competencies.
The event directly aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 “Quality Education,” as it is aimed at improving the quality of student training, developing leadership skills, and fostering responsible citizenship.
Following the practical session, participants were awarded certificates, and a cultural program was organized featuring performances by the students of the Institute of Military Affairs.
