As part of the Month of Science, on April 14, 2026, Satbayev University hosted a specialized Hackathon titled “Energy, Resources and Technologies for Climate Stabilization.” Students from ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev actively participated in two major directions of the competition.

The event aimed to develop scalable solutions for carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency improvement, and industrial process optimization. The Hackathon directly addressed SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Combining expertise in Energy and IT, the participants proposed practical models to reduce environmental impacts. An expert jury, including industrial representatives and practitioners, evaluated the projects based on their innovativeness, economic viability, and potential for real-sector implementation.

Team Leader: Associate Professor of the ALT Department of Energy, Zh.Zh. Kaliyev. Participants: 4th-year students of the “6B07188 – IT Energy” program: A.A. Seidullayev, Ye.R. Shynzhyrbek, and D. Seitzhan.
