From December 1 to 5, the Department of Language Education hosted the Innovation Week — an annual event aimed at sharing experience, implementing modern teaching practices, and improving the quality of education. Throughout the week, faculty members conducted open classes, which were attended by experts and colleagues from other departments for analysis, discussion, and exchange of methodological ideas.
Open lessons in English, Russian, and Chinese were held using gamification tools, communicative case studies, and multimedia materials. After the classes, participants engaged in discussions of pedagogical solutions and effective teaching methods.
During the lessons, instructors actively used modern interactive platforms such as Wayground, Kahoot, Wordwall.net, LearnEnglish.com, Test-English.com, and various ESL resources, which helped increase student engagement and enhance language skills. Digital quizzes, online grammar trainers, and interactive tasks for vocabulary building and listening comprehension were widely applied.
Innovation Week provided an opportunity to showcase best practices in foreign language teaching, strengthen professional collaboration between departments, and highlight our university’s commitment to modernizing and advancing the educational process.
