On April 10, 2024, the Academy of Logistics and Transport (ALT) hosted a meeting featuring Saule Zeinolla, PhD, CEO of Teachers Lab, and a training consultant from the UNESCO office. The event was an interactive session designed to acquaint ALT staff with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs cover a wide range of aspects from environmental to social and economic issues. They require not only an understanding of current challenges such as climate change, depletion of natural resources, and social inequality but also active participation by every individual in processes that promote sustainable development.
ALT is aiming to enter the QS rankings and must emphasize its commitment to sustainable development and academic standards at an international level. The university is focused on enhancing its educational programs and research to meet the global criteria of the QS rankings, which include academic reputation, faculty level, research activity, and integration of sustainable practices. In this context, ALT, in collaboration with Teachers Lab, plans to organize SDG courses for its teaching staff.
