In the framework of SDG #4:Quality Education, On April 10–12, 2026, the faculty members of the Social-Humanitarian Sciences and Physical Education Department Professor Abdiraiymova A.A. and Senior Lecturer Beisenova P.M. participated in the annual conference of the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES 2026). The conference was held at the Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies of the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom). The paper titled “The dynamics of labor conflicts in the extractive industries of Kazakhstan: actors, resources, communication” was presented at the panel session Energy, Environment, and Politics 1.In addition to the main conference program, the participants took part in a campus tour of the University of Birmingham, which included visits to the university library and museum. This provided an opportunity to gain a broader understanding of the university’s educational and research infrastructure.
