Head of the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health, Dariya Rakhimalievna Shabdenova, took part in an international conference dedicated to psychological support and adaptation of international students in the educational environment of the Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University.

The event brought together leading experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, featuring practice-oriented presentations, modern approaches, and real-life case studies in working with international students.

Participation in the conference was carried out within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the university’s policy on ensuring equality, inclusion, and an accessible educational environment.

During the conference:
• актуальные знания on intercultural adaptation and psychological support of international students were obtained;
• effective practices for working in a multicultural educational environment were explored;
• international experience in providing psychological support was gained through professional case analysis;
• professional connections with the expert community were expanded.

Particular value was given to discussions on:
intercultural communication, student motivation, the influence of cultural and religious factors in counseling, as well as support in crisis and emergency situations.
