The international Summer School – 2026, organized for students from Urumqi Vocational University (PRC) under a bilateral memorandum of cooperation, has successfully concluded at Mukhmedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University.
Over the course of five days, 15 students from the People’s Republic of China participated in an intensive educational and cultural program designed to introduce them to advanced technologies, the university’s scientific infrastructure, and the higher education system of Kazakhstan.
As part of the Summer School, the participants visited ALT University’s cutting-edge laboratories and training centers, attended lectures, and took part in practical workshops covering artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain technologies, digital economy, and 3D modeling. The students showed particular interest in visiting the drone pilot training school, where they explored the capabilities of unmanned technologies and intelligent systems.
Cultural and educational activities formed an integral part of the experience. Guided tours around Almaty were organized for the guests, including visits to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Medeu high-altitude mountain sports complex, and other iconic landmarks of the city.
Following the conclusion of the Summer School, the participants highly praised the quality of the program’s organization, the practical orientation of the classes, and the unique opportunity to acquire new knowledge within an international academic environment. Furthermore, the Summer School served as an effective platform for knowledge sharing, fostering intercultural dialogue, and strengthening friendly ties between the youth of Kazakhstan and China.
The program concluded with a formal closing ceremony where students were awarded certificates of successful completion of Summer School – 2026 alongside memorable corporate gifts from ALT University.
