Almaty, July 9, 2026 — Online negotiations were held between the leadership of Joint Stock Company “ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbayev” and representatives of City University of Hong Kong, during which the parties discussed prospects for academic cooperation and agreed to prepare for the signing of a memorandum of partnership between the two universities.
The meeting was attended by Gani Sergazin, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation at ALT University; Ainura Yakupova, Head of the Office of Academic Mobility; as well as Wen Jung Li, Vice President (Talent and International Strategy) at City University of Hong Kong, and Ms. Adi Li, Executive Officer (International Liaison).
During the meeting, the priority areas for future cooperation were identified as the development of master’s degree programs, the Bolashak scholarship program, and the exploration of other formats of academic exchange.
The parties noted the strong potential of the partnership and expressed mutual readiness to further develop cooperation. Following the meeting, it was decided to begin preparations for signing an official memorandum between ALT University and City University of Hong Kong in the near future.
The signing of the memorandum will open new opportunities for students and faculty of both universities within the framework of academic mobility, joint master’s programs, and scientific collaboration.
