ALT University hosted a meeting of faculty members and students with Bolat Badelovich Zhardemov, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Director General of KTP Research Center LLP.
The event was held as part of the 7th Eurasian Forum on Safety and Digitalization in Transport, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of ALT University.
The meeting focused on two topical issues:
🔹 international experience in developing radial-ring railway networks and the concept of a “Grand Ring” within Kazakhstan’s railway network;
🔹 assessment of railcar processing rates at major stations and the results of train schedule simulations on the sections and lines of the “Grand Ring.”
The participants discussed the role of ring railway structures in redistributing freight flows, relieving congestion at major transport hubs, and improving the resilience of the transportation process. Particular attention was paid to station throughput and processing capacity, as well as the use of modern simulation methods in the development of Kazakhstan’s railway infrastructure.
The meeting provided an important platform for exchanging experience and discussing promising scientific solutions in the transport sector.
Such events strengthen cooperation between education, science, and the transport industry, broaden students’ professional knowledge, encourage their involvement in research, and create new opportunities for joint studies.
