In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4 – “Quality Education” and No. 16 – “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” open lectures and explanatory sessions were held on February 9 and 17, 2026. These sessions were organized by the faculty members of the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Physical Education: M.D. Zhumagulov, M.Zh. Kundakova, and L.T. Kurmanbaeva.

The lectures focused on the theme “Key Conclusions and Changes in the Draft of the New Constitution of Kazakhstan.” Students attended a series of presentations covering “The Kurultai and the Continuity of Kazakhstani Statehood,” “The Kurultai and the New Constitutional Reform,” and “Key Amendments to the Draft Constitution.”

In addition, interactive sessions were conducted on “The National Congress and the Continuity of Kazakhstani Statehood,” as well as “National Reform Initiatives.” During these sessions, students engaged in discussions and received detailed answers to their questions regarding the legislative updates.

The draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan outlines a transition toward a new national model where education, science, culture, and innovation serve as the pillars of sustainable development. The state now identifies human capital and the intellectual potential of its citizens as the primary strategic priorities. Notably, for the first time in the Republic’s constitutional history, quality education and the advancement of science and culture have been explicitly designated as priority areas for national development. The event was attended by the university’s teaching staff and the Head of the Department.
