On February 10 of the current year, a meaningful and informative meeting with students was held at the university as part of the “Law and Order” campaign. The event was organized within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.”

The primary objective of the meeting was to promote legal awareness among young people, emphasize the importance of compliance with the law, prevent offenses, and enhance students’ sense of civic responsibility.

Distinguished guests from the Almaly District Police Department of the city of Almaty took part in the event:

  • Oljas Nurlanuly Abilkozhaev — Head of the Juvenile Police Department, Almaly District Police Department, Police Major
  • Zarina Nurbaykyzy Beisenova — Senior District Inspector of the Juvenile Police Department, Police Major
  • Abay Altayuly Turgunbay — Senior District Inspector of the Juvenile Police Department, Police Major
  • Marzhan Kurmangazykzy Beibit — District Inspector of the Juvenile Police Department, Police Captain
  • Bolat Muratuly Orazayev — Head of the Administrative Police Department, Almaly District Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel

During the meeting, the speakers addressed key issues related to legal responsibility, maintaining public order, preventing youth-related offenses, and the consequences of unlawful actions. Special attention was given to the role of state institutions and the rule of law in building a fair and safe society.

The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format, with active student participation. Such events contribute to improving legal literacy among young people and support the development of a peaceful, just, and sustainable society in line with SDG 16.

Knowing the law is an obligation; obeying the law is the duty of every citizen.
