On March 3, 2026, at 09:30, in Room O407, a master class titled “Organization of the Production Process in Performing Maintenance Works of Railway Contact Network Systems” will be held.
The event is organized in cooperation with representatives of the Almaty Power Supply Division of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and is aimed at strengthening students’ practice-oriented competencies and bridging academic knowledge with real industry operations.
The master class will cover:
Theoretical part:
- power supply and sectioning schemes of the railway contact network;
- selection and technical justification of fastening and connection components.
Practical part:
- organizational procedures (issuance of work permits, authorization for workplace access, supervision during operations);
- technical safety measures (workplace preparation, required disconnections, prevention of accidental energizing, voltage absence verification, grounding procedures, installation of warning and safety signs);
- execution of the technological process in accordance with the approved technological documentation.
The session will provide students with hands-on insights into operational standards, safety regulations, and real-world practices in railway power supply maintenance.
