On June 8, 2026, at the Department of Rolling Stock, an inspiring meeting of students with a successful graduate, Malik Zhanabergenovich Zhamankulov, took place. Today Malik combines practical, pedagogical and scientific activities. He works as a teacher of special disciplines of the department “Transport, Construction and Road Traffic” LLP “Almaty College of the Academy of Logistics and Transport,” and also studies in PhD doctoral studies.
Students showed a high interest in the topic, actively asked questions about the future of “green” technologies in transport, the specifics of doctoral studies and career opportunities after graduation.
Particular emphasis during the discussion was placed on the integration of the transport industry in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 15 (SDG 15) – “Preservation of terrestrial ecosystems. “The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue on an extremely relevant topic: “Green standards” for the operation of rolling stock. Research perspectives.”
- Reducing man-made load:the introduction of “green” standards in railway transport minimizes emissions of pollutants, protecting roadside ecosystems, soil and forests from degradation.
- Environmentally friendly infrastructure:design and operation of modern rolling stock, taking into account the minimization of noise and vibrations that destroy the natural habitat of wild animals.
- Scientific contribution:discussion of research prospects aimed at creating energy-efficient and carbon-neutral transport systems.
- Success formula:personal experience of the guest, his path from the student bench to teaching and deep scientific work.
Malik Zhanabergenovich shared his success story with students, spoke in detail about the path to doctoral studies and answered questions about the future of environmental transport. The meeting clearly showed young professionals how their future professional and scientific activities can directly affect the conservation of biodiversity and environmental sustainability of the land.
The Rolling Stock Department expresses its sincere gratitude to Malik Zhanabergenovich for a useful meeting and contribution to the motivation of future specialists!
